Common crosslinking agents are organic peroxides:
1. DCP
Dicumyl peroxide, the most commonly used, has a density of 1.08 g/cm3, a melting point of 42°C, a decomposition temperature of 120~125°C, a refractive index of 1.54, and a half-life of 10 hours at 117°C. It is often used in combination with zinc oxide to improve strength and Aging resistance.
2. BPO
Namely, benzoyl peroxide, white powder, melting point 103~106℃, extremely unstable, insoluble in water, slightly soluble in organic solvents.
3. DTBP
It is di-tert-butyl peroxide, a slightly yellow transparent liquid, with a density of 0.8 g/cm3, a boiling point of 110°C, an ignition point of 183°C, a refractive index of 1.4, and a half-life of 10 hours at 126°C.
4. DBHP
That is, dicumyl hydrogen peroxide, a light yellow liquid, easily decomposed by heat or contact with acid and alkali.
There is also diethylene triamine (DTA), also known as diethylene triamine, colorless liquid, boiling point 207°C, density 0.954 g/cm3, refractive index 1.5, flash point 94°C, commonly used in epoxy resin, generally added The amount is 5%~10%.
5. Double 25
That is, 2,5-dimethyl-2,5 di-tert-butylperoxyhexane, or Shuang 25 for short, has two commercial products, one is a light yellow liquid with a purity of 90%, and a density of 0.85 g/cm3; The other is a white powder with a purity of 50%, with a decomposition temperature of 179°C (half-life of 1 minute) and 118°C (half-life of 10 hours). Double 25 is a high temperature crosslinking agent, commonly used in ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, polyethylene, chlorinated polyethylene, etc., to improve the strength and hardness of the product. 2-ethyl-4methylimidazole, 2-phenylimidazole, 2-isopropylimidazole, tetrakis phthalic anhydride, hexahydrophthalic anhydride, triethylenetetramine, dimethylaminopropylamine , Diethylaminopropylamine, etc. are also crosslinking agents, most of which are used in thermosetting plastics and used as curing agents.
